About me
Carrie Robledo is a 2nd grade teacher and teacher leader in Montgomery County Schools, where she also serves as a teacher leader on ElementaryAI, a NSF grant project in partnership with NC State University. She previously served as a Computer Science Research Scholar at the Friday Institute and has worked in public education for over 14 years. Carrie also worked for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction as an educator on loan with the Digital Teaching and Learning division, supporting teachers with implementing the NC Digital Learning Standards for Students and the NC Computer Science Standards. Carrie is passionate about sharing Computer Science and STEM resources with teachers from across the country and advocates for equitable STEM access for all students. She is the 2020-2021 NCTIES Outstanding Teacher of the Year, the 2019-2020 Moore County Schools Teacher of the Year, a 2017-2018 North Carolina Digital Leaders Coaching Network alumna, and a 2018-2019 Kenan Fellow.
