About me
I am an 8th-grade Math and Math 1 teacher who is passionate about helping students build confidence and independence in mathematics. I focus on creating a classroom environment where students are actively engaged in problem-solving, making connections, and taking ownership of their learning. In my teaching, I work to move beyond traditional, teacher-led instruction by incorporating strategies that promote student agency, such as collaborative learning, choice, and real-world application of math concepts. I strive to help students see themselves as capable mathematicians while developing the critical thinking skills they need for future success. I enjoy sharing practical approaches that support both engagement and rigor in the math classroom, and I am always looking for ways to make learning more meaningful and accessible for all students.
