About me
I am an 8th grade Math and Math 1 teacher who is passionate about helping students build confidence and independence in mathematics. I focus on creating a classroom environment where students are actively engaged in problem solving, making connections, and taking ownership of their learning. In my teaching, I work to move beyond traditional, teacher-led instruction by incorporating strategies that promote student agency, such as collaborative learning, choice, and real-world application of math concepts. I strive to help students see themselves as capable mathematicians while developing the critical thinking skills they need for future success.I enjoy sharing practical approaches that support both engagement and rigor in the math classroom, and I am always looking for ways to make learning more meaningful and accessible for all students.
